Stinks of white previlige no matter how ‘inclusive’ it tries to be although there’s been a massive influx of Chinese students recently- much like the rest of Sydney’s North Shore. Tonnes of finance/ investment banking/ corporate parents (read aspirational). My experiences with prep schools is that this place is no different- it tends to attract a certain type of parent and kid and the school encourages it. Very small so your experiences will be intense and there’s no hiding. Fake corporate civillity works well while deep down they’re all competing with each other- pay private school fees and pay for tutoring so your kid isn’t at the bottom. Not sure if the fees are worth it yet and seems to be a lot of academic kids with poor social skills. | | |
