I was a student at the junior school a few years ago for most of my primary school years. It was a horrible experience that’s scarred me for life as I continue to my high school years. The teachers group students by ability, especially in maths, causing you to miss concepts and regret ever asking for help, which messes up your maths in the later years, as you missed basic concepts.
The school was way too focused on students personal lives and adhering to a strange standard of what a “normal” student should be, and the teachers would often find ways to humiliate students who were different in terms of personality.
A certain teacher who ran the school plays made me extremely uncomfortable with her comments, and once told students to “shake their b*tts more”, which now I realise is horribly inappropriate, and I am horrified whenever I realise she is still working with young children. She humiliated me, asking personal questions and a few other students with deprecating comments and to this day, I can only view CGGS with negative eyes.
The other teachers weren’t much better, intrusively prying into students personal lives and favouring students and ability grouping rather than teaching. My parents were told off for what movies we decide to watch as a family! What sort of school pries into students personal lives to such an extent?
The students could be rather nasty at times, but I managed to find a few friends there who made it slightly better.
Overall, CGGS is an atrocious school with lacklustre teachers, some of whom should NOT be teaching due to their inappropriate behaviour. Do not send your daughter here if you’d like her to be uncomfortable and struggling with maths in the future. I am so grateful to the teachers at my current school, who helped me learn all the concepts I missed out due to CGGS’s horrible ability grouping.

Amazing!! I’m currently at this school (just started last year) and everything I’ve experienced is amazing. The classes, teachers, and students are all kind and friendly. Sorry you didn’t enjoy you time there!

Terrible. I went here from kindergarten to Grade 5. I was bullied here, and the teachers didn't do anything about it. Furthermore, teachers were bribed to give higher marks to students who had parents who gave them benefits, eg. bringing food for them. Would not recommend this school. Students here are also very snobby and rude.
