I have learned a lot at this school because at my old school I had learned nothing for maths and I was just not learning anything but at this school it has really helped me understand maths and helps me choose better choices in class so I can learn more and I definitely recommend this school I have made amazing friends and my teachers are very nice and sometimes can be a tiny bit strict but other then that it’s amazing

Yikes to everyone that has to attend this place. This is basically hell put on earth by he devil himself and has put his female roach to run the place, you know who she is...
Let's start with my favourite teacher, she's rude, loves history and likes hurting your feelings for the sake of it. She always complained there wasn't enough time to teach the class so she would get the students to teach the content. Let's not forget she would discuss other students with her favourite student privately. I don't how professional that is but ok??
THE WALKING. the stupid walks!!!!! I think that's enough said.

What you are about to read is the adventures of a student currently enrolled at holy cross. What I am about to write is my truth. This is my experience and opinion. Different experiences vary from one to the other.
Lets start with enrichment. Every Thursday, year 11 and 12 ATAR (and some general) student are forced to sit in a room for 6 periods straight to study. This building is split into 2 rooms, the talking room and the silent room. Yes, they are called 'talking' and 'silent' rooms. Even jail doesn't have talking and silent rooms. And when there is an activity in the talking room, all students are moved to the silent room. Basically, to put it into perspective, we are forced to sit in a room for 4-6 hours without talking. They are taking away our freedom of speech, the most basic human right. This is human rights 101 and it's being stripped right off of us, but we, of course, pay to go to this school, and do not get an opinion or a saying whatsoever. In addition, we get 4 periods of each subject a week, and 6 periods to study. In what world does this make sense? we got more time to study than to go to actual class? no wonder everyone in ATAR does terribly.
Next, the uniforms. We have the crapiest jumpers ever to keep us warm in winter. But, in the school's defence, they encourage us to layer up underneath. Yeah, like girls can layer up underneath the tights. What are we supposed to wear? Leggings underneath the tights? We pay to go to this school, and we are at the bottom of the priority list. How the school uniform looks is more important than our health and wellbeing. When we wear our sports jumper, we get told off. When its freezing cold, we are kicked out of buildings for following our basic human instincts and trying to stay warm. When it is raining, we are forced to walk in the heavy rain to get to our classes, because, as mentioned, we aren't allowed in the buildings, and not all places have a shed or a roof. How is my health not a priority at this school?
And to continue on from there, we don't keep warm in winter, and as a result, surprise surprise, we get sick. And we are encouraged to stay home when sick to stop the sickness from spreading, which makes sense, and I agree with this 100%. But, of course, the school then decides to give awards to people with 100% attendance at the end of semester 1 and 2. They are basically rewarding the people who have been fortunate enough to not get sick because of their stupid uniform rules. It's ridiculous.
And then we have Robbie Rotten. the only art teacher at this school. Where do I start? Lets start with the fact that every student at the school, without fail, hates her guts. And it's not because she is a bad teacher, or because she has an annoying voice, or any of that...but because of how rude she is to every single student. Even junior school kids hate her. She once said to a student in an assembly to "please shut it" while she is talking. and I understand that she was telling a student off for talking while she was, but there are kinder ways of doing such a thing. The other day we were ordered by her to clean up the area downstairs, and of course, being her peasants, we went down the stairs to clean up the area. Instead of saying 'thank you,' or 'i appreciate it,' she says "hurry up down the stairs." Even inmates in jail get treated better than that. Not to mention her way of asking us to do things for her: 'go do this,' 'go do that,' 'go help this person,' 'go help there.' We are literally her little servants, and I'm not exaggerating. it sounds ridiculous while reading it, but it will make more sense if you see it in real life. she treats us with absolute and utter disrespect.
The school buildings. All doors are locked, including classroom doors, and can only be open by key cards that the teachers have. Even the doors to the buildings are closed. And their excuse is 'if there is a criminal in the school, they won't be able to enter the building,' which is a valid reason. Good thinking...not. What if there is a student outside the buildings? They can't get inside to safety. All the classroom doors are locked, so why are building doors locked too? This poor kid who is locked out of the building is going to get captured by the criminal in the school. Yes, they were thinking of safety, but they executed the idea in such a stupid way. What if there is a junior school kid locked out? shouldn't that 8 or 9 year old be allowed to enter safety?
Once again, this is just what I have experienced. I have mentioned all the negatives, but I am a strong believer in the idea that everything has a positive and a negative. Of course, the school has things that are done greatly, but the negatives are just too ridiculous to ignore. Thank you for your time.

This is the recounts of a few of Holy Cross Graduates thoughts
My first memory of this school was at my first recess and one student decided to grasp another students yoghurt and hurling it at another student, in retaliation he stole a students strawberry milk and began to pour the pink sticky liquid all over his over-priced uniform. When he returned to class the teacher removed his T-Shirt as he was covered in ants and forced him to expose his bare-chest to the world.
When we were graced with our first school camp, a student decided to ruin it by 'helicoptering'(a disgraceful act) his penis around the room whilst making helicopter noises. I thought my eyes got molested.
I was most appalled by the state of the schools sports recreational equipment. Every time the ginger would get the ball everyone would steal it off him and kick it into his shins. One time an ambulance had to be called because everyone gathered around and grabbed a limb and pulled on it caused them to pull out of their sockets and put the student through unimaginably excruciating pain. Furthermore he is now a paraplegic(unrelated).
One time slot a week we were allocated a class called Enrichment. I recall a numerous number of times in this SILENT class, a student opening his computer to some very disturbing noises of two males who I assumed to be fighting(was actually Pornography).
I can recall 3 students having large rocks or chunks of brick thrown at their heads for no reason other than enjoying a succulent meal at lunch time. The students called them boulder bandit and i could see it was extremely detrimental to their mental health and general wellbeing.
On our year 12 camp a student slapped a big 'homemade toy' across the PE teachers face. Dildo. Disgust.

(Exhales deeply) Where to begin? Today a man, known formally as ‘The Goat’ told his class that he had a surprise for them, to be honest, I expected a monkey to emerge from his clothes. But, in actuality, this prick said to us “YOU ARE PRESENTING TO 60 STUDENTS TODAY ON THE EVENTS BETWEEN WW1 AND WW2 BECAUSE YOU DID SOOOOOOOOO WELL”. He did not even allow those who were not confident with semi-public speaking to at least sit down and present their event. One student broke down into tears, for fear of being judged by her peers. The presentation was not announced until 15 minutes before it actually occurred. Although it was frustrating, the students were continually forced to present a useless topic to a class of 30, which was not too much, however, the following day, students were made to stand and present to 2 classes, a total of 60 students. Albert Einstein began the lesson by grilling the students about how they didn't stand properly to greet king dick for the beginning of the lesson. We sat to hear the teacher say “I HAVE A SURPRISE FOR YOU”, personally, I believed the surprise would bring relief and calmness, however, the following words brought fear and outrage among the class. One particular student decided to smash his hand on the desk, causing a loud banging noise, deafening the class. As I approached my snot-nosed “friends” in the other room, I was enraged. They sat there and tormented my actual friend and I about how we had to present our events. The presence of these people made the presentation 100x worse, as it was clear that if we made a mistake, we would be mocked until the day we die, as they did not have to present their work, I understand why actually, because their class legitimately did not do ANY work while our class slaved away, finding the causes of WW2. Another thing that infuriated us even further was the fact that the idiots in question were handed a document with all of OUR CLASS’S NOTES on it, probably served on a diamond platter with caviar and tadpoles’ assholes as a side dish. The Goat is very unintelligible, he told the class that we should be comfortable presenting our work to other classes, as well as ours, because he believes school is a safe environment where peers are encouraging, this is not the reality at all. The reality is that, at any given moment, someone can ruin your entire social life with a few embarrassing words, or telling a secret that was not to be shared, I believe, that in high school, trust should not be present in any friendship, no matter how good, as, most of the time, the person you once trusted will be the person you sincerely wish will rot in a jail cell, disintegrating with every breath taken, without food or water. Enough about the train-wreck that is my life, more about the mentally-challenged goat. The main reasoning behind the extra presentation was to allow us the learn public speaking skills. In theory, this is a good exercise, but in practice, and with context, this is a terrible thing to do to most students’ social structure, even the most popular student may be ridiculed for making an error due to nerves or general idiocy, because, let’s face it, most popular people are stuck-up morons who feed off the work of those who trust them. I call them leeches. I used to have a person who was just like this, a leech, but, when I understood that he was bullying me, I chose not to allow him to feed off my own hard work, that was probably a mistake, because, now, I dread him approaching me and my only friend every single morning, because I am more privileged than he is, it has been made apparent from the day I was born that I am obese, this prick is the only person on the planet with this opinion, just because I am permitted to consume whatever drink and food I wish at home, does not mean I am obese, it simply means I have more freedom of choice and am happy with my life, while this sour little ant is trying to savour any bit of privilege he gets, such as the fact that he may only drink CORDIAL on special occasion. This is rather sad, cordial is a basic privilege that essentially every person with considerate parents has, it is clear that this prick is rather jealous of the fact that I live happily and am content with my style of living. I suppose the purpose of informing you of this bully was to show that Holy Cross College does not know how to resolve bullying, and, essentially, the students there are no better than the lowest form of scum at Ellenbrook secondary college.

Oh, where to begin. I attend this school, oh my god, the advertisements are full of lies. The school’s description depicts it as a “holistic” approach to learning. That is the biggest pile of shit I have ever heard. I mean, come on, they come up with a bunch of shit about a prophet who never existed, then they give us examination papers on them. This school is horrible when it comes to bullying, if a student dropped dead outside the staff room, the staff would probably piss themselves laughing. One student was held back after school because “he” made a mess with cleaning chemicals. The Irish prick said to him “YOU ARE GONNA STAY BACK AND CLEAN UP THE CLEANING CHEMICALS, THE EVIDENCE IS ALL OVER YOU”. That is not what happened at all, in fact, two twats were spraying Pine-O-Clean at the particular student. But because the student HAD THE EVIDENCE ON HIM, he was forced to clean up the chemicals. Wait, give me a minute, that is ironic. Cleaning products are meant to, you know, clean, and it isn't possible to clean something that is clean, so really, this is the first example of a teacher as a prick. Teacher 2. She just looks like a bitch, her voice is so snappy. She got angry at 60 students because they were in class ON TIME, and she was LATE. She made us all go outside and line up until this schools version of Trump came along and walked into class. I say this teacher is the school’s version of Trump because she thinks she is top shit, when she is the definition of a house elf’s bitch. Sometimes, this teacher will just stare into space, as if master Dobby just gave her access to oxygen after 7000 years of shoving every wizard’s wand up her ass and screaming JOOF WILL SAVE THOMAS THE HOUSE ENGINE. Furthermore, she is the definition of Trump because she is the most stupid person I have ever seen “teach” a class. All she does is go on about how SIBILANCE makes readers want to cry themselves to sleep because the Jews were treated badly. I swear she has lived so long that she lived with the inventors of all visual and language conventions, because she just KNOWS IT ALL, as she shoots her children, she shouts WHAT DOES THIS CONNOTE WITH HUSBAND???!!!!! I would love to see her have a mental breakdown, she would huddle in a corner and sit on a dictionary, trying to study all the language conventions present in her block of cheese or in her tea cup. Oh, right, another teacher, he is an absolute pedophile, he is sweatier than a pedophile at a Wiggles’ concert, he likes it when the kiddies smile, so he can shove his grey old man dick inside their happy mouths and go OOOHHHH YOU LOVE MEEEEEE. Finally, the principal, Mandy Connor, A.K.A Hitler 2.0. She wasted thousands of dollars on a tin statue of some idiot who was shot because he liked poor people. Just last week, they made all students walk around this statue in silence. I’m sure she has a dildo somewhere inside of it, and, when everyone is gone, she will reveal it and start GETTIN’ BUSY with BLESSED OSCAR ROMERO. This woman was the one to force students to change for physical education lessons, she was the one who forced students to wear white shoes to physical education, when it doesn't really matter, they get changed after the lesson anyway, nobody outside the school sees it. Next year, I'm sure, when students walk into school, there will be a man dressed as Oscar Romero waiting at the gate, and he will slap the ass of every student passing by.

The school is good if your child is academically inclined but if your child is just average or struggling like mine do not expect this school can support. Very disappointed on the way they handled my son's sitution. I was expecting them to give them options to help him go through Year 12 but I feel and my son also felt he was pushed away.

I currently attend this hellhole of a college.
To begin, the Queen, Ms Mandy Connor, is constantly away from the school, recently, she went to Croatia! I mean, come on, that's ridiculous, going overseas to speak to some principals about an unimportant high school. This school overly relies on technology to function, I remember, the internet was out one day, the whole school plummeted into absolute chaos. The IT assistant will constantly accuse students of playing games in school when they come to him with technology problems. Student: "Can you please help me, I've forgotten my passcode", Assistant: "HAVE YOU BEEN PLAYING GAMES?!?!" Next, the school has this ridiculous system known as "Giving life", given to us by Kermit the Frog, who licks his lips constantly and makes a popping sound with his mouth. He expects us to complete 50 hours of "service", which is helping the random community for no apparent reason. If this isn't done, he threatens to lick us with his big froggy tongue. Also, there was a teacher who I heard ridiculed students for "not listening to instructions" when in actuality, he never SPOKE for them to LISTEN TO!! He gave them a sheet on an iTunes U course and said "do it". This same teacher has an unusually large nose, you'd think he was pinnochio and he's told 50 lies, his nose is that big. He complains that he can't see things, that's probably because his Pinocchio nose blocks his view! Another annoying teacher just lives to randomly check students' devices, which is a TOTAL breach of privacy, the teachers do not have the rights to read our messages!! Overall, this school is filled with ridicule, do not send your child here, save their happiness!!!

HCC is a good school. Some of the teachers aren't the nicest, but all schools have at least one bad teacher. The buildings are all new and clean, except for the drink fountains and toilets. Me and most of my friends do not like Big Ideas, this subject where we have to answer these 'big' questions about non sense. I don't like how through this school we have to do community service, or slavery. Though the world relies on volunteers, we should be able to choose whether we want to sacrifice our time or not. And by the time you reach Year 11, you have to do 50 hours in 3 terms, whilst still having to juggle things like exams and TAFE. Though thank god I am not at ESC.

All these reviews about the school having bad hygiene are correct. The drink fountains are disgusting. There is food, paint and rubbish in them. The drink fountains barely work anwyays. The bathrooms are just the worst bit. There is no soap. The soap diffusers have no soap in them. The toilets are not clean, there are broken toilets in which the school does not want to fix. The school would rather spend their money on building more rather than having a good bathroom in students can use. Not to mention the parents have to pay for almost everything. A 'digital license' a digital license allows the students to use the schools wifi. The wifi is terrible. You pay $100 for this when the wifi is terrible. Boys can get in trouble for simply wearing their top button. In primary school wearing a top button was not optional, you had to wear it. The school wants everyone to 'look the same'. That's literally one of the the most stupidest things I've heard. Wearing a top button should be allowed, it's their choice. Oh and the grading system sucks. Your paying $5,000 a year when your child literally learns nothing. And the school wonders why students decide to drop out and move to a public school. Parents pay this money, some just struggling to pay. The school just demands money. They could care less about getting the students an education. Honestly just don't even step a for near this school. And people are complaining for a reason. They're saying their thoughts about this school. Don't even step a foot here. If a student has the incorrect uniform or shoes on you get a detention. That's a load of crap. Has the school actually taken the time to consider that some of the students can't afford the perfect school shoes or bits of the uniform. Some families are struggling to get by, their trying to give their child an education to actually get somewhere in life. And here's Holy Crap College threatening to get the police involved if the family doesn't hand in the unpayed bills. Take some condensersation.

Im a former student from this school. Apparently, last week, there was a cross country carnival where the house bays were just put down and were not held by anything. This caused one of them to go absolutely flying and hit several students. This was followed by 3 more bays going nearly onto the road in the rainstorm. After this dilemma, the students were still forced to run 3km in gale force winds and almost hail. At the end, people were told to go back because they didn't finish on time. Now, this school has this subject known as 'big ideas' where students are forced into their year group and learn about complete nonsense. The hygiene at this school is appalling, there is no soap in any toilets and the drink fountains are infested with mosquitos. The students are forced to change into their sports uniforms for physical education classes. The change rooms at the school are complete open space, I believe, that when changing, people should be given privacy, instead of being stared at by a bunch of perverts. In the annual fees form, it says something about a 'digital license'. This is ridiculous, as each students buys their own iPad, that digital license actually pays for their bills, along with all the other crap they put in, like 'building levy' or 'digital citizenship'. Most of the money paid goes towards Mandy Connor's (the principal's) baths of money and trips around the world to meet about a high school. Overall, this school is an absolute disgrace and should be sued for poor hygiene and for lying about where our money goes.

Holy Cross College has some faults but so does every school! Most of you just want to write a bad review because you hate how strict the school is. Once you actually grow up and stop acting like children, the teachers will respect you and you'll learn that they're pretty cool people.
If you hate it, go to ESC where your no one, no one cares about you and you get into fights.
Your parents put you in this school, pay so much money and all you can do is complain?
Unbelievable.

I am student working my way through my first year of senior school. And let me tell you the stress is unbelievable. I have been in the extension classes since year 8, and it gets worse by the year. I have had multiple mental break downs. The teachers half the time seem to care more about the appearance than actual education here. It's like they forbid individuality, and that's disgusting.if you make one of the following mistakes (Incorrect socks, your hair is not tied back, make up, no hat) they become extremely rude and make you tie your hair back or wash your make up off. I understand the reason of rules but simple things like this are stupid. Assessments will be the death of you in this school. Overall this school is extremely expensive and many kids drop out by the first year. If you start in year 7 you have about 100 kids, but by year 12 there are only 30. The school just overlooks this as students being students. I recommend a different school unless you want to watch your child crumble under the pressure and stress.

The staff are pretty good but some can be quite rude. The educational system though is very good and overall would highly recommend Holy Cross College Ellenbrook

I am a student at Holy Cross College, being the fact that I am a year 12 and have been at this school for years now. I do not believe that all these negative things said about HCC are uncalled for due to the fact that this school is just like any other school yes its strict but what school isn't and it is to benefit the students education. Especially with them giving us a lot of homework and assignment it is all to benefit us. I have grown a lot through out my schooling years, academically and socially, I have grown with my confidence and the Holy Cross College has helped me with all this by giving me all the resources and facilities I need and also giving me the opportunities to expand on my education. I recommend this school.

I am a former student of this school and i can agree with a lot that is being said about it but i will not agree that it is overall a bad school. If your child is very academic and committed to their school work, then they will fit in very well here. They have excellent broadening courses for the highly academic and the teachers work well with the students to help them get better. If your child is not motivated and committed to their work, then you will be getting comments like these. HCC is very much about self-improvement. A student needs to take their learning into their own hands and use the amazing resources that the school gives them in order to exceed, instead of sit back and wait for the teacher to come to them. Yes, I can agree as a foundation student that there are a few teething problems that have been/will need to be addressed, thought you cant blame a school that is merely 6 years old. Big Ideas helps with critical thinking, it teaches the child about certain ideas and things that wouldn't be addressed in every day classes. They are presented with a relevant and broad question which they have to extensively research and inevitably answer through an in depth assessment. It would feel like a waste of time and effort but it does give you great skills in researching and critical thinking. Even in my last few assessments at the school, my teachers were still saying that they could see the works of Big Ideas in my work. Yes, the school is very strict and they care A LOT about their image, which is greatly annoying but you deal with and stop being so petty. I will admit the principals assistant is a bit of a weirdo, and i never liked him for his general attitude towards a lot of things including gender roles, which i found he was awfully sexist and arrogant. Him aside, the teachers are hard working and became my friends as much as teachers. Being such a small school, there is opportunity for real one-on-one IF your child is up for putting in the effort. In conclusion, there is some stuff that is skew about the school, but if your child is willing to commit and looking for a good outcome it is excellent, a lot of these comments are from kids who didn't care so much about it and weren't prepared to put in the effort. I will admit, its not a perfect school and I found myself getting quite frustrated with their decisions and rules are points. In conclusion, this is a truly honest and unbiased reflection of the school. It is what your child is willing to make of their own school that matters, not how much they depend on others to only teach them.

Whichever person stated that the students voicing their opinion on this college should 'go and do their homework' is obviously mistaken on the point of this website. A students opinion is just as valuable as a parent or an older person. Looking at this website you will see how many negative comments and views there are of this school. The students are the ones experiencing this first hand, they know what goes on behind the gates, why wouldnt they voice their opinion. Its pathetic to try shut down a childs voice and opinion when we are stating how horrible Holy Cross College really is and trying to limit the amount of individuals coming to the school and having to go through it. So next time you try and shut down a persons voice just because they have a strong opinion which is different to yours think twice and re-establish the ways you want your children to grow up and be. Voiceless or a strong, opinionated individual. Arrogant people are disappointing. King Regards, a voiced student of Holy Cross College.

There is a bullying problem with this school which none of the staff will admit to. The levels of punishment for students is not lin line with the act that was carried out,I will not go into specifics as it will implicate my child and I do not want to make life harder for him, the teachers will take the word of lying year 8 students without investigating t he complete issue.
Stealing of uniforms is rife at this school and you are expected to replace it immediately otherwise your child gets a uniform infringement...what a joke, how about addressing the issue of uniform theft from students whose parents cannot afford to buy the complete uniform,go to another school if you cannot afford these items or do you turn a blind eye when your child comes home with a sports jackat that has the lining ripped out that had another childs name written on it.
The principals assiatant is a rude condescending arrogant piece of work as well.
We will be looking at shifting our children next year I think, cheaper and better education options in Ellenbrook.

I must say I love the comment above written by "a teacher" with spelling mistakes.....clearly majority of these comments are made from students venting. Anyone, and parent with half a clue will pay no attention to these comments. If you really have such an issue either a) voice your concerns with the school so they can do something about it or b) leave. I'm sure the school do not want all the negativity from you there anyway. Stop wasting your time on here and go do your homework kids.

Half the stuff in the test isn't taught and you are supposed to research about it even though you don't know what questions you are going to be answering. This is hard for students to research about the sport as they might research about the wrong thing. The least they could do is go in depth about the sport and teach us everything we need for the test. Other than that, the school is great. :^)

Literally, this school doesn't help with anything. When I had a problem they would just go get over it.
When I felt unwell or sick they don't have a proper school nurse to actually determine if they are actually feeling unwell. The sickbay is horrible and they do nothing to try to help you.
The school in general is pretty shit, big ideas is just a bigger load onto your assessments when you've already got like eight assessments for your proper core subjects.
Big Ideas just effects your grades massively when you're already dealing with core subjects. The school doesn't give a shit about you, they give a shit about your money tbh. They just keep building and not focusing on anything else.
You're expected to stand for the principal although she doesn't actually give a shit about the students.
Shit school in general, bullying happens jack shit happens. My friend was getting threatened and they did nothing about it.
tbh i'd rather die then stay here.

All these reviews are pretty much written by immature whiny year 7's and 8's who probably weren't good students or just saw the negatives of this school. This is a great school, its new, not overly populated which gives students a one on one chance with teachers. Its technology based which makes it easier for students to learn, and it encourages independent learning and gives extra help to students who struggle. everyone complaining is just going on about the school rules and standards. well sorry you're so incompetent you cant even follow the rules and live up to holycross standards. You're the terrible student or former student, you're the one that probably brought mistreatment onto yourself. If you wana leave, LEAVE!!! and leave quietly. who the hell are you to tarnish the schools reputation just because you're too much of an idiot to make something of yourself in this great school. complaining about big ideas? it's meant to challenge you and make you think about the bigger picture. the issues society faces. you actually learn a lot from big ideas. yes, you may feel like its a waste of time, we have 3 periods of it, of course you'll feel that way. even i did. but now that I'm in senior school, i realise that big ideas wasn't so bad after all. Someone mentioned fights, absolute bs. there are hardly any fights in our school. if there is one, its probably a minor and non-violent one. someone even said to me that the school is boring compared to other schools in terms of fights. Ellenbrook Secondary is full of people who act like animals. so many fights there you'd think its a public school. why do you think most of these negative comments are coming from people who now attend Ellenbrook secondary? yes there is some bullying in this school, what school doesn't? its how you handle the situation that makes it better. our school has a 0% bullying tolerance policy. it will not stand for it. someone got suspended for calling someone a sl**. Ive seen a lot of people get suspended. some clean their act up and stay, some get worse, whine and leave the school, then come here and leave shitty comments about the school, of which most these reviews have terrible grammar which solidifies my point that the people leaving these comments are either stupid idiots or year 7's and 8's or both. I wont even comment on the lazy people complaining about the assessments. Our schools expanding, becoming bigger and better. the oval got destroyed to start building the primary school. And here you are complaining about the trees getting destroyed in the oval. idiots. I will admit, last year, the toilets were filthy. Who do you think makes that mess, thats right, year 7s and 8s who haven't learnt how to be sanitary. instead of getting some cleanliness, they come here and write dirt about the the school with their filthy unsanitary little fingers. The school of course took action and held a boys only assembly, and girls only assembly, and they gave us a long lecture on keeping the school clean. Do they listen, no they don't, duh. Cleaners come every night to clean up the school. why do you think its so clean every morning?? idiots. Stop complaining about Academic Catch Up!!! When you came to this school you were told the rules repeatedly. WEAR THE CORRECT UNIFORM. GODDAMN its not that hard!! its not like y'all are illiterate and can't read the school rules booklet which is made accessible. You bring the academic catch up onto yourselves. I've only received it once, and rightfully so. I didn't hand in an assignment on time. And you all probably get away with this here and there. Complaining about the trip to New Norcia? I wasn't there, i only came in year 9 and i can still tell you that it was great even though i wasn't there. How do i know this? because students still talk about it, even though they went 2 years ago! it was surely memorable. All those excursions and hikes will create the best memories. You go ahead and waste your time bitching about this school, just not on the school reviews. Don't ruin someone else's chance of getting an excellent education by leaving these rude comments.
You all are honestly so pathetic and need to find something better to do with your lives, and tarnishing the schools reputation won't help your case.
Parents, if you're so curious to see what goes on, don't read these stupid reviews, just come and see for yourself. Let you be the judge and not some idiotic twelvies who think they are maddogs because they wrote a stupid review on the school.
I highly recommend this school :)

I am a former student from this school.
The students are expected to treat the principal "miss Mandy Connor" like the queen, they are expected to stand and greet her as she walks in the room. She has to permit the students to sit.
They also have this stupid evening every year where students are expected to wear formalwear for three hours while the queen (principal) speaks about complete nonsense, all students are expected to attend even if they aren't doing anything in the evening. It is called the "celebration evening" more like, "sit and listen to me talk crap for three hours".
Next we have LIFE,
Learning- Students waste 7-9 periods a week learning about crap, religion and big ideas, which aren't on the curriculum.
Inter-Relationships- Help out teachers for no reward
Faith- Believe in God or you will be a jobless deadbeat eating mice for meals
Enrichment- Do random crap like participate in college activities for no reward, to make you a better person.
That is what the school is about
Students are also forced to participate in prayers and religion classes even if they don't believe in God, which I personally do not. Even if they are of a different religion, they must prey to a god they don't think exists.
They also have some crappy week called "LIFE Week" where students take the week off to "learn" about complete and utter nonsense.
Overall, do not send your child to this school.

This school is ridiculous. I am in year 8 and have been here science year 7. What do u think? I THINK IT IS RIDICULOUS. They are building in more and more on to this school making it seem like a empire. The uniform is absolutely stupid. You can gat detention by just wearing the wrong socks. And BIG IDEAS IS A WASTE OF TIME. Earlier this week we went to a sustainability centre. To learn about sustainability which the teachers are DOING A GOOD SHOP OF. They have ripped up our former oval all of the grass destroyed the trees only to make room for more buildings. The change rooms are ridicules all the teachers do is say 'look in coneqt' ITS RIDICULOUS (i know I have said that to many times). Overall I hate this school nod don't recommended your child comming here

I go to this school. My and my freinds have been here science year 7. We are in year 8 now. In year 7 we noticed lots of people leaving towards the end of the year. And we feel like doing that to. The teachers are mean and we get so so many assessments nearly 4 in one week. Our most recent was a big ideas assesment, btw big ideas is a waste of time, the assesment involved us going threw pages and pages about a useless thing. We then had over the holidays to continue it. Nearly half of year 8 didn't finish and had to attend academic catchup. And we get no choice to do things. We are going on a camp in a Couple of weeks and if we don't want to go we have to talk to the priceable. If we don't want to participate in anything, talk to the priceable. So overall to much homework useless assessments and to many and mean teachers. I want to go to another school so do my freinds. I don't recommend sending your child here.

I sent my child to this school, it is complete rubbish, he was treated with no fairness and they waste 3-5 classes a week on "big ideas", which is a complete waste, yet gives ENORMOUS assignments for no reason. Never send your child to this school!!!!!!

I am a former student from HCC. Life to the Full, they say, well I say "six years of your life lived in torture". Also, the bathrooms are ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!! In one stall there was "waste" on the wall of the stall. They expect students to change uniforms during their extremely short recess break, they should at least make breaks longer, to allow changing time and also time to eat. The change rooms are completely stupid, I believe that people should be allowed privacy when changing, not a completely open space. My relative attends the school and his uniforms are taken very frequently, then, when explaining to teachers, they give him a detention when he hasn't done anything. Now, "academic catchup" is their fancy way of saying detention, if a student is given an academic catchup note, it says something about violating the "college assessment policy", by law, the student should be allowed to see the assessment policy. Some students are given academic catchup for things that are COMPLETELY unrelated to assessments, for example, one student was given academic catchup for the wrong colour shoe laces, that is OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!! The uniform policy is ridiculous, white shoes for sports and exact socks for all uniforms. Students are also forced to walk some stupid trip that was walked by one of their college patrons, which I guarantee, was fake. This involves year 8 students walking from Subiaco to Guildford, also walking from Guildford to Bells' Rapids. Also, year 8 students are forced to go to a "town", known as New Norcia, where Rosendo Salvado went, to settle with monks, for 3 days, 2 nights. This "town" is actually about 10 buildings on the side of the road. This school wastes so much time on completely useless nonsense, they should teach something that will actually help students in life, not "big ideas", which has no reason for existing whatsoever, it is not even on the Australian curriculum.

Worst school you could possibly go to! The teachers are the worst and bully students. There was an incident were students were balling their eyes out because of what a teacher had said and then as they walked out the teacher laughed. That is pathetic and taking all of this into consideration they still don't care. Do not send your child here unless you want him/her stripped of all their self esteem, happiness and confidence.

I really hate this school it is disgusting and I am so sick of everyone's crap. I've had enough of not being 'good enough' or up to 'their expected standards'.
Me and my friends have wanted to move from here since the first week and have been very very unhappy recently about the way teachers and students (MOSTL TEACHERS UGH) have been treating us.
DONT EVER COME HERE ITS CRAP. It would be the biggest mistake of your life. I want to go to Ellenbrook Secondary College as many of my friends have gone and have been SOOOO MUCH HAPPIER there than they have here.

I have been at this school for a while now, I would say there can be some ups but majorly down sides to this, the teachers at this school are bully's and we are all taught not to bully here at the school but we have to be the ones getting bullied by the teachers who are telling us it's bad. The school is very striced with their uniforms I understand that but not telling off a child with bright pink trainers which is not allowed but the teachers can feel it is alright to tell off a child who axcedently dropped a pen or wore the wrong hair lacky... I used to praise this school.... What happend to it.....

I'm really disappointed in this school. This school has no respect to children and parents therefor there is not much responsibility for the children. Holy Cross has the most ridiculous rules such as the black academic shoes must have a heal and laces on it, and if you don't have that you will be put in detention. Also if you don't have the right socks on, they will send you home. Also you can't wear studs(earrings) which have a little bit of a sparkle in it, but then I see people wearing hoops which In my opinion is dangerous because something could get cought. The toilets are really dirty and despicable and therefor the children around me are very untidy and not clean. When you walk into the administration they are very rude, they will ignore you even if they can see you. Thank you

The school recently sent a letter out saying they would waive the fees. About 2 months later, that school is in my bank account taking out 300 a FORTNIGHT. I rang my bank to ask where all my money is going and they said to HOLYCROSS but I had cancelled the payment nearly 4 months ago and my children are now going to a new school ELLENBROOK SECONDARY and I'm so impressed with the amount of homework and how unstressed they are. Holycross called me saying that I owed them TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS! After the had just waived the fees and I still have that very note. Now they are getting the dept collectors involved to steal MY MONEY. MY MONEY THAT THESE MINEY THIRSTY ASSHOLES WANT. THEY DONT CARE ABOIT THE STUDENTS ALL THWY WANT IS MONEY. THIS IS THE WORSE CATHOLIC SCHOOL I'VE BEEN TOO by far

Discusting school. No cleaners for the toilets tampons staining the toilet for days and weeks and fruit stuffed into the sanitary bins. Stop wasting money on expanding the school you don't need to be greedy with parents money get a cleaner and better uniforms oh and also you many need a new admin, principal, teachers AND STAFF! Why not just shut the school down everything including staff are useless and rude.

this school is horrible, it has no system, they do not plan in advance and they do not treat the kids with the maturity they need, this school needs to be closed, the teachers don't give a crap, and the principal sure does nothing more then walk around the class rooms and finds excuses to tell the children of, My chid attends this school and comes home crying from severe bullying problems from the teachers, THEY NEED TO GET THERE ACT TOGETHER AND SORT OUT THEIR SHIT BECAUSE IF THEY DONT THEY WILL HAVE NO PUPILS
ps. if you are wishing to put your child in this school, DONT it is the worst school i have ever heard of!

My daughter attends this school and we have seen her blossom in confidence and maturity. When asked if she is happy with the school, she has commented that she wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I would highly recommend this school to anyone wanting to give their children opportunities outside of your traditional chalk and talk schooling.

in all honesty, If I could leave this school I would. a majority of the staff in this school are extremely arrogant and rude. the students at this school get treated with very little respect. there is a lot of favouritism from teachers and lots of other kids suffer because of this. the courses offered by the school are boring and a waste of time. overall this school is a waste of money. I gave this school the worst rating as bad but in all honesty it is much, much worse than simply bad.

It was a bit if a fight but I did it! My children are now much happier in their new school.

My children say they enjoy the school but I see the school as a waste of money and time teachers don't talk to me and the administration is left unattended or you are ignored even tho they see you, the school is left in a terrible state and the children and rude. The car park is terrible and the drop off area isn't good children are always walking over the road like they are waiting to be road kill. The middle and senior school have nothing to do during lunch times because the younger children take up all the space with the toys, I feel really bad for the children of holycross because they are never smiling but when they are smiling it's out Side of school. I recently witnessed a young girl measuring out pavements out side of her classroom alone whilst her teacher sat inside she look liked she was struggling and asked her teacher for help but he told her to asked someone else if she needed help...what this? I call this a waste of money I can just smell it and I agree with the comment under Neath. I feel like there is no communication in the school. There's no bell?
Do not send your child to this school teachers are Rude and look as though they have no time for teaching.
Take my word before it's to late!

I'm am a former student of holycross college.
I began my studies in my very first days of yr 8 I had just moved half way across the country to ellenbrook. I thought the school would be great and would show the other schools how a school should be, but once I stepped into the school I couldn't believe how much I had been lied to from the teachers during enrolment. With my own eyes all the 3 yr old pre-school were placed in half the caftiria space for two weeks!. The teachers only tough one learning style witch was learning of iPads...it felt like I was teaching myself because the teachers always said 'check coneqt the work will be in there' . The teachers ignored you out of class, the office never passed on messages to the teachers especially when the students were absent. My mum sent a million emails to the administration as they told her to whilst I was sick but then the htg teachers would want a hard copy note? Dosnt make sense? It was like the school was built around all the younger kids because we weren't aloud near them during lunch times nor the oval or the basketball courts we just sat down board whilst the younger kids threw their ball and toys at us without being told off. The bathrooms were discusting the school was a filth, it was like a jail cell we couldn't do anything, let alone how rude the administration was to my mother. My mum was expected to pay over 3,000 dollars to the school because she wanted to pull both my sister and I out of the negative environment before 10 weeks. But my mother sighted a contract for what the school was ment to be following not for the lies they out down in their enrolment forms..they have really insulted holycross church with all their lying. There for I tell you do not send your children to this unreliable school. My sister suffered really bad depression for this school she was put on pills for over three months and lost all her self confidence within herself and others. My parents pulled us out of the school and unrolled us into ellenbrook secondary college. And this school is amazing! There isn't any negative teachers the school has so much support I'm not going to lie there is bullying but bit as much as HCC (holycross). Thankyou

this is by far a horrible school. most teachers treat students with little to no respect. the students at this school so not get prepared well enough for exams and this leads to a drop in grades. the facilities are nothing special and toilets are usually left in a dirty state. at this current time the school has more students than room. the staff in this school do not plan things well and this leads to parents and staff being put in bad situations. the rules in this school are terrible. students get sent home if they wear incorrect socks. this school is overpriced and not worth the money charged to parents. I would not recommend going to this school
