From my experience, this school treated their VCAL students like second-class citizens (When they had VCAL) and kicked them out of the school early (While making them pay a full year's salary) because they wanted to convert their room into an extra curicullar room, half the teachers were good while the rest had no passion (Saw one of the teachers give random marks to all students within a roster to save time and headache), extensive bully culture and punishment for self defense, bullying of a student by a new principle who stated the following (Hahaha are you being religious, are you growing out your beard due to religious reasons? This is Turkish school, not a Muslim school), no respect shown to some teachers, obsession with money and fundraising (However a lack of upgrades and infrastructure), bags and equipment were everywhere and was placed into gardbage bags during open days and favortism shown to students within the schools cemaat.

It is such a good school and I think one of the best in Victoria and the ones who are saying it's bad just cus ur bad at school and u don't know how to study ur just salty and don't know what else to do than get your anger out of the school. Everybody has the right to mention their opinion but please don't give a bad review because you are upset with something that occurred at the school and negatively sees everything, we're a school that gets chosen to go to special Uni events, events with the government officials, Police Department, statewide competitions, international trips and competitions, etc. We also have a security guard at the gate. We meet the safety requirements and we also go further and pass those safety requirements to the best of our ability and ensure the best educational environment for our students, teachers, staff and parents. We also have a farm that has animals. We also encourage our parents to get involved in school activities, any parent can volunteer to help teachers and staff during events, excursions, incursions, sports matches, camps, etc. Our school is such a nice place that the waiting lists for students enrollments are full to the max. Why do you think we have parents that drive 4 hours every day just to drop off their kids, wouldn't it be easier for the parent to drop their kids at a local school? Yes, it will be easier but the parents know that our school is the best out there in Victoria. I say Victoria because you can't compare a school from different stats in every aspect. This school is horrible and when I graduate I will sue the shit out of Sirius college . I do not recommend since u get ur ass whooped there. Sirius college if u are reading this please shut down before come over there and beat the shit of you. Sirius college is full bitches. The teacher are bitches especially the Turkish teacher

I came here from reading reviews from another Australian Islamic school. The reviews in this school is waaay better than the other school where more than half of the reviews were ratted horrible. I just wanna say congratulations.

I love how everybody exaggerates the living shit out of their tiny, unimportant issues. Haha, yes it's completely the teachers' fault when you don't pay attention in class and the teacher calls you out for it. Yes, your teacher is always picking on you. Yes, you're the victim. No, your teacher does not have feelings, or emotions in that matter. And yes, your teacher is always in the wrong. How very sad, you look like you need a hug. I hope you kids can get out of your own ass someday and learn to stop blaming others for YOUR faults. Smh

Four years ago when I first enrolled my daughter, I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I now know I made the right decision. My daughter wasn’t too fond of maths in primary but she has chosen to study maths next year at VCE level. One of her maths teachers had a heavy accent
but she is still one of my daughter’s favourite teachers. Just goes to show you don’t need exceptional language skills to teach numbers.

A breeding ground of bullies. Recently year nine girl call for fight with other school girl , and fought outside school in school dress. Disgusting. No discipline. Most of the teachers are non English background, students have problem understanding.

I'm not a student from there (Sirius) and I don't know if it's average or not but I just wanted to know how it is. so, while I was reading the reviews I got so confused. people are saying the complete opposite of others so I think it was a wrong choice to check the reviews about this school... there is no majority opinion and everyone's reviews contradict each other.

I send my kids to this school and I beleive that it is wonderful. The parents who complain need to remember that this is a partnership and you need to do your bit for your child's education. I am particularly confused with the student who complains about the school but continues to attend this school. It is an academic school so if your child isn't interested in academic success, don't send them here.

I still go to sirius college and it is very bad. The teachers always pick on us and treat us very poorly. The education is bad, the only reason why they show high VCE results is because it’s from students who have to work all the time with minimal sleep to teach them what teachers couldn’t. There has been occasions where bullying was involved and yet no staff member did anything to prevent it. This school is very sexist, I am a female and I’m not saying this from a bias view but everyone can clearly see that the male gender is treated like upper class. They make us lose our creativity. The schools are in terrible condition, the buses have rips all over the seats. They have so much money and yet they don’t fix anything. They’ve been promising my campus a gym for more than 10 years (this is coming from the teachers) but they’re so readly available to upgrade teachers facilities instead. I advise parents to not send their children here.

We attended the Sirius college end of year primary school concert two days ago. It was fantastic! The kids were gorgeous and so well prepared. It was so well organised. The student not only performed but presented the show. Once again, I felt blessed to be an 'Sirius patent'

Some teachers at Sirius college are using the app class jojo to engage parents in the learning of their children. I love it! I enjoy seeing examples of my children's work and pictures of them engaging in activities.I also like some of the inspirational quotes teachers put up because it give my kids and I a lot to talk
about.

I have two kids at Sirius college. I am very pleased with the education and the nurturing nature of the school. The staff are very much on track and very helpful. I have met some great parents and I believe that my kids have made life long friends. As an Australian of Pakistani background, I can't think of a better school for my children. Keep up the good work Sirius college and thank you for bringing out the best in our children.

What they are teaching kids here has nothing to do with religion. They are actually teaching kids to be terrorists. All of Gulen's schools are or have been closed in Turkey, and around the world. What is Australia waiting for???

To the person who "saw no bullying at Suruis" one question, Where you hiding under a rock?
I currently have two children in the school and will be changing them next year because I have seen thus school evolve forthe worse over my many years spent there as a parent of two children attending.
Bullying is a very REAL and undealt ussue at this school. They don't have a well organised nor documented school policy on bullying.
Further, the school claims to be non-denominational however imposes religious studies whereby children are the worse punished and hard done by in these classes. GID firbud you have a differing view or lifestyle to the "majority" generally populating the school. Your child will be ostracised, bullied and outcasted as "different".
There is zero understanding for difference and is in no way inclusive!
In the playground children are left to their own devices. In primary the children don't have a grassy area to play and are forced to play ball games on a concreted basketball/soccer court. They don't have a sports program, a decent music program, they play with student results (generally mark students down) to benefit from goverment funding.
Overall, it is your choice to send your child there, but be warned to spend your evenings trying to console your children about all the unjust and unruly behaviour from other students, parents and even teachers.
I was advised by a teacher who teaches at the school that she doesn't and wouldn't send her children there because they would not survive in the jungle playground.
They used to be very goid and had a very reputable reputation pribably 10 years agi but it has gone downhill and appears to be going downhill at full throttle!

It's no that great, too much drama happens. In response to the parent above bullying does occur against those students who don't have a Turkish background. There have been incidents where students were caught drug-dealing and cases of students being gay (not homophobi just warning those parents who choose to send their children there). There VCE results may be great but it is only to a select few who have shown there worth as they focus on them; a downside to having graduated from Isik College (Sirius) is that the vast majority of students drop out from University due to the fact that they were spoon-fed information whilst studying VCE. But that's just my opinion, by all means send your child there if you want to.

One of the best schools in Australia,I'm so glad that I chose to send my child to this wonderful school.The staff are very caring and go beyond the duty of care to help all students and parents.

My daughter went to this school and got bullied and tried to commit suicide because of all the bullying and the pressure she was going through having to do exams in year7. This school is so bad for a child with depression and they didnt even help my child they said to just send her to another school if we didnt like it. not professional people.

This school is nothing but a scam, they do not care about the education, welfare and future of our children, the are just in the business to build wealth for themselves so don't be fooled by what they offer. They chose the kids they want to succeed and cheat their way to the school ranking. I can write pages on why this school is no good but i am going to sum it up as they are corrupt. They might have a good reputation in achieving high university entries by cheating, but let me tell you most of them drop out of Uni after the first year.
